Kenneth Schultz, MD, MBA, FACP, FACEP

Dr. Kenneth Schultz is the President of Skyview Loss Prevention Services, LLC. For the past
eighteen years, he has specialized in Risk and Claims Management issues for large medical groups.
He was formerly the Director of the Risk and Claims Management Division of Bettinger, Stimler, Schultz & Associates, LLC.
A graduate of S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Schultz completed his internship in General Surgery, his Residency in Internal Medicine, and a Fellowship in General Internal Medicine at the University of Miami affiliated hospitals. Dr. Schultz received an M.B.A. from Temple University School of Business in 1988.
In the late 1980s, Dr. Schultz was appointed Medical Director, Corporate Risk Management, for EMSA, the forerunner of InPhyNet Medical Management, Inc. He remained in this role until 1997.
In addition to his expertise in Risk and Claims Management, Dr. Schultz has extensive experience in hospital-based emergency medicine. Dr. Schultz served as Director of Emergency Medicine at a large Pennsylvania teaching hospital for eight years. He has worked extensively with hospital administrators, attending medical staff and house-staff members, directors of hospital-based departments, quality improvement specialists, hospital board members and EMS system leaders throughout his career.
Dr. Schultz has managed over 1,000 professional liability incidents, claims, and suits while supervising PLI programs with aggregate limits as high as $55 million. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, and is a Fellow in both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Schultz has experience in academic and teaching settings. This experience includes: Assistant Professorship, University of Miami, Department of Medicine; Division General Medicine, Director of the Second Year Medical Student Course in Physical Diagnosis, Clinical Associate Professor, Dept. of Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine, Penn State Hershey Medical Center; Director, Department of Emergency Medicine, Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, PA; Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Alabama (Full-time Faculty).
Dr. Schultz has experience in the Captive Insurance Industry and currently holds Board Level or Executive Management appointments to several Medical Liability Captive Insurance Companies. Dr. Schultz is also the Director of Skyview Loss Prevention Services’ newly formed Clinical Research Division where he serves as a Principle Investigator. Dr. Schultz is IATA Certified.
